Meet our Team

Rev. Dr. Warren Simandle

Warren attended UC Berkeley; Cal-State Hayward; Fuller Theological Seminary and Biblical Life Seminary. He holds a B.S. Degree in Math, a California Lifetime Teaching Credential in Math and Physics, an M.A in Missions with an M. Div. and D. Min in Hebraic Studies. He served on Young Life staff for 13 years as a missionary in Sao Paulo, Brazil and as the founding director of Young Life in the City of San Francisco. He and his wife of 30 years have raised a family, shepherded a home church for 10 years and currently lead ChapelARIEL ministries in Santa Barbara.

Rev. Leanne Simandle

Leanne graduated from Westmont College receiving her BA in music and then her Secondary Teaching Credential. She was on the staff of Oxnard First Baptist Church for 10 years, performing/directing various music programs and teaching, training and discipling staff in the youth program there. She led worship and made visual teaching aids for their home church. Since becoming a licensed minister of Music and Worship, she has written new words for Gentiles to traditional Jewish songs, created banners and other visual aids for their ministry.

Bonnie McLennan MA MFT

Bonnie has been our administrative assistant from the founding of ChapelARIEL. She is a graduate of Wheaten College with years of experience as a family therapist. She and her late husband have broadened our connections beyond our local ministry and continues to advise us in her retirement. She lives in Santa Barbara to be close to her children and grandchildren.
